ICM Crescendo and Raleigh Music Publishing Form Joint Venture for Music Catalogue Acquisitions

(August 2026 – Calgary, Alberta) ICM Asset Management is pleased to announce that ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund (“ICM Crescendo”) and Raleigh Music Publishing (“Raleigh”) have formed a joint venture to acquire music publishing catalogues. The partnership combines Raleigh’s deep operational expertise and long-standing industry relationships with ICM Crescendo’s music royalties investment expertise and dedicated acquisition capital.
The joint venture advances ICM Crescendo’s strategy of partnering with experienced operators to source and acquire high-quality music publishing catalogues. It also expands the fund’s network of industry relationships, strengthening its ability to pursue attractive acquisition opportunities.
Founded in 2016 by veteran music publishing executives Peter Raleigh and Steven Storch, Raleigh Music Publishing has become one of the industry’s most respected independent music publishers. The firm is known for its client-first, high-touch approach and represents iconic catalogues alongside a growing roster of contemporary songwriters, artists, and producers.
The joint venture builds on an already successful relationship between ICM Crescendo and Raleigh, including the acquisition of the Kal Mann catalogue, which features songs such as Chubby Checker’s ‘Let’s Twist Again’ and House of Pain’s ‘Jump Around’. Building on that success, the partnership marks an important milestone in ICM Crescendo’s broader music royalties strategy, complementing the fund’s continued focus on pursuing attractive acquisition opportunities alongside other experienced industry partners.
“At ICM, we seek to partner with experienced operators who bring deep industry expertise and access to differentiated opportunities,” said David Vankka, President & Portfolio Manager, ICM Asset Management. “Raleigh has built an impressive track record of sourcing, acquiring, and managing high-quality catalogues, making them a natural partner as we continue to grow our presence in the music royalties asset class.”
The partnership is already attracting attention across the music industry. Billboard recently took a closer look at the joint venture, the relationship between ICM Crescendo and Raleigh, and the opportunities ahead as the two firms build on their work together.
